TUSCANY IN A DAY
The excursion begins in Florence where our bus will be waiting for you. You’ll first visit Siena the city of the “Palio Horse Race”. Here you’ll get an guided walking tour to admire the main attractions of the historical center, highlighting important monuments, buildings but also traditions and anecdotes. You will visit Piazza del Campo (where the Palio di Siena horse race is held), and Piazza del Duomo, where you will see the exterior of the magnificent Cathedral. After you’ll have free time to explore the city on your own. Then the tour continues with the visit of a winery where you’ll have a wine tastings and a typical Tuscan lunch.  After, the wonders continue with a visit to San Gimignano, the splendid Medieval town declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its amazing Towers, narrow roads and typical shops. Then, following the panoramic roads the group will reach Pisa and its stunning Piazza dei Miracoli, where you will admire the Baptistery, the Cathedral and, of course, the famous Leaning Tower.  Take the iconic photos and after some free time you will be driven back to Florence where the tour will end.

The village of San Gimignano, the Chianti area and the Medieval town of Siena are situated in the heart of our beautiful Tuscany. They are all compelling stops for those who want to learn about the region’s history and traditions. Meet our staff in Florence and from there you’ll depart.  The first stop will be San Gimignano, a magnificent example of a Medieval urban town; in fact it is a UNESCO world heritage site. Here you will have free time to visit the village and its splendid squares, palaces, churches and the magnificent towers. The tour continues to the splendid area of the Chianti Classico. We will stop by a typical Tuscan winery where you will visit the cellars and vineyards. Afterwards you will taste the wine produced, which will be accompanied by a delicious Tuscan lunch consisting of typical food such as pasta, cured meats, cheeses and local pastries. In the afternoon the tour continues with sightseeing in Siena. Here our official guides will lead our tour to the city centre. You will have the chance to admire the magnificent Cathedral and the Town Hall in the Piazza del Campo, scenery of the world famous Palio horse race. The tour will end with the visit to the marvellous Monteriggioni medieval fortress and then start your ride back to Florence where the tour will end.

PISA & LUCCA TOUR

The tour continues with a visit to a typical local wine shop, where you will taste the wines of the area. Free time available at lunchtime. Afterwards the tour continues to Lucca, where you will have free time on arrival. It is a distinctive city of art and Renaissance style surrounded by walls interrupted by beautiful gates and ramparts. First you will take a pleasant walk on your own along a section of the town walls and enjoy beautiful views over the roofs, alley’s, house-towers, churches and marvellous noble palazzos. PISA
Pisa is one of the most visited cities in Tuscany and it is famous for its Leaning Tower. The beautiful Piazza dei Miracoli is among the most beautiful monumental complexes in the world. The town’s most prosperous period was undoubtedly the 12th century and this is witnessed by the urban shape of the old town centre with many buildings, squares and alleyways that run along the river Arno, which was for centuries the major communication route. It has always been an estuary town and was already an important naval base in Roman times intensifying trade in the Mediterranean. Pisa is also famous for one of the most prestigious higher learning institutions of Europe: the Scuola Normale Superiore. You will be picked up from the centre of Florence and taken to the Chianti where the adventure will start. COOKING LESSON
Join our professional cooking class! You will gain unique techniques and the best tips to make a perfect Italian meal! The class will start with a visit to the market: our Italian chef will help you choose the best ingredients. Once you got everything you need you’ll reach by our minivan the cooking school where you’ll start to prepare the meal.  During the four hour lesson, you will prepare a full Italian meal, from appetizer to dessert. We will first prepare all the needed ingredients by washing and cutting them. Our chef will show you how to make fresh pasta from the row ingredients and you will have the chance to knead it yourself! You will also cook the sauce (Tomato, Ragù Bolognese or Pesto), ‘bruschetta’ as a starter, a main course (seafood or meat) with a side dish, as well as a dessert! Our chef will show you how to decorate your plate and you will finally have lunch with the amazing dishes you made. Lunch will be accompanied by a local wine, water or soft drink as you prefer. At the end of the class you will also get a Graduation Certificate signed by the chef, as well as the recipes for the dishes you made, in order for you to try them again back home. The chef will start the class by introducing the history of these Italian wonderful creations briefly. After that you will learn how to make the original Italian pizza step by step: you will be taught the tricks for tender flexible yeast dough as well as for a tasteful, yet light, tomato sauce. Our chef will show you the right way to stretch the dough and you will have the chance to do it yourself. You will make your very own pizza: you will stretch it, sauce it and finally bake it. The result will surely be the best pizza you have ever tasted! After you have become familiar with pizza you will be taught the secrets to make Italian ‘gelato’: you will get to know the basic raw ingredients and how to select the best products. DISCOVERING DUOMO AND THE CITY
Despite 2000 years of tumultuous history and clashes between the richest and most powerful families. Florence eventually became known as the birth of the Renaissance. In order to better understand the history surrounding the city, we will begin the tour from our agency Via Cavour 21 red; we will pass in front of Palazzo Medici-Riccardi and the chapel of the Medici family to arrive at the religious center of  the city where we can find the Duomo, the Bell Tower, and the Baptistery. Our professional guides will bring you inside the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore where you will discover gothic architecture that has been built over the remains of the Santa Reparata Church (where the present day Cript is located). You will discover the secrets and facts involving almost 170 years of constructing this amazing Cathedral and its magnificent Dome. We will then continue the walking tour with a visit to Piazza della Repubblica and to Piazza del Mercato Nuovo which hosts a major symbol of Florence: the Boar. After meeting the boar, we will visit Piazza della Signoria where we will see the following: Palazzo Vecchio (the old courthouse) copies of famous sculptures like the David, and the Loggia dei Lanzi (an open air museum filled with sculptures). From outside on the street, we will follow the Vasari Corridor (a secret passage built by Vasari) from the Uffizi Gallery to the Pitti Palace, the last residence of the Medici family in the city. As we follow the Vasari Corridor, we will cross over Ponte Vecchio, the Old Bridge famous for its jewelry vendors. With an extra charge you can enjoy a private tour inside the Baptistery and the Museum of the Cathedral Opera del Duomo.  

SECRETS OF FLORENCE
Explore some of the most famous sites of Florence’s ancient culture while learning about the mysteries of its past.  We’ll take a look at the ancient center of the city, where some of the most interesting secrets are kept.  Around the Baptistery, Duomo, and Cathedral, all of which are decorated with elaborate facades and marble panels, you’ll learn about the “Miracle of the Flowering Tree” and the “Bull and the Baker.”  Afterwards we will walk near Dante’s home and discuss the infamous Church of Dante and Beatrice.  We will then stop and see Palazzo Vecchio, famous for its civil architecture, the location of the guilds, and the Medici family political court.  While in Piazza della Signoria, you will see an open-air museum consisting of many statues including the copy of Michelangelo’s David, as well as many other noteworthy works, including the often unseen Profile carved by Michelangelo.  You will then walk through the wings of the Uffizi Gallery.  Following the Arno River, you will walk towards Ponte Vecchio, famous for its gold jewelry shops.  The tour ends in front of Palazzo Pitti.  Before the conclusion of the tour, you will have discovered much more than you ever imagined while visiting Florence.
