Shore excursion - Excursions
The Port of Genoa extends continuously for 20 kilometres along a coastal strip that runs from the basin of the Old Port, in the city’s historical centre, to the far western end.
The Port can accommodate any type and size of ship and handle any type of dry and liquid cargo through the 13 connected terminals.
The Ferry Terminal and the Cruise Terminal inside the city’s old port basin complete the range of services that the Port of Genoa offers at all levels. Port infrastructures cover around 7 million square metres. They can be accessed through a number of gateways near the main traffic routes.
Genoa, a portal between land and sea. A crossroads of cultures and people since ancient times, Genoa has always been a land that lives and breathes the sea air. Its history speaks grandly of this magnificent city, displaying its richness and beauty in every corner of the old town. Beautiful buildings, gorgeous churches, façades decorated by stuccoes and frescoes, invaluable art collections - all bring the “Century of the Genovesi” to mind, the most important moment in the city’s cultural development. A walk through the streets, squares and alleys of Genoa is a constant surprise. Behind every corner is a treasure waiting to be discovered.
