Versilia - Firenze - Pisa - Torre del Lago - Elba

1st day: Versilia
Arrival, accommodation at the hotel, dinner and overnight
2nd day: Florence
Breakfast and departure for Florence. Visit of the city: the church of Santa Maria Novella that houses the crucifix by Giotto and works of Ghirlandaio; Piazza di San Giovanni with the Battistero, the Giotto bell tower and the Duomo of Santa Maria del Fiore mounted by the gorgeous dome by Brunelleschi; Piazza della Signoria, dominated by Palazzo Vecchio with the adjacent Loggia dei Lanzi rich of works of art. Walk along the Arno river to reach Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in the city and Palazzo Pitti, with its galleries and Boboli gardens, magnificent example of Italian gardens. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon continuation of the visit with the Uffizi galleries, that occupies 45 halls on the third floor of the renaissance Palazzo degli Uffizi. Return to the Hotel, dinner and overnight.
3rd day: Torre del lago and Pisa
Breakfast and departure for Viareggio, Board the boat Burlamasca, a comfortable river boat and departure to discover the natural beauties of the lake of Massaciuccoli with a visit to the villa of Giacomo Puccini. (between february and november, during the other months the visit is done with your own bus). Return to Viareggio and walk through the historical centre with free time for lunch.
In the afternoon drive to Pisa, visit of Piazza dei Miracoli or Piazza del Duomo, that is well known worldwide for its important monuments such as the Duomo, the Battistero, the Leaning tower and the Monumental cemetery. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
3rd day: Elba
After breakfast departure for Piombino to board the ferry to Elba, the largest isle of the Tuscan archipelago. Land in Portoferraio and tour of the island with many different sights: romantic fishing villages, villages on the side of the hills, ancient castles, green valleys, enchanting bays and beautiful sandy beaches. Visit Napoleon’s summer residence in S.Martino with the Demidoff museum and his winter residence in the centre of Portoferraio. During the visit free time for lunch. In the afternoon return to the port and by ferry back to Piombino. Return to the hotel along the “Etruscan coast” rich in historical and tourist destinations.
Dinner and overnight.
5th day: Departure
Departure after breakfast in Hotel.
