The port of Olbia, famous around the world as the principal port of the Costa Smeralda, besides representing one of the most important passenger stops in the Mediterranean with more than three million handled each year, is also an important commercial port with almost five million tons of merchandise.
The port is divided into three areas: the Cocciani port, the Internal port, where there is still the ancient Roman port, dedicated to recreational and small cruise ships; and the Isola Bianca port, where eight wharves welcome Ro-Ro ships transporting passengers with cars and commercial vehicles. In the same area, a new quay is being built for cruise ships, which are always more numerous, calling into the ports of the Costa Smeralda.
